Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

At The Empty Space, directed by Ryan Watts

This is a classic American play about two couples who come together for a night of hurtful 'fun and games' in a college town in the early sixties.

The following parts are being cast:

Nick: Male, able to play 25-30, handsome, athletic, successful.

Honey: Female, able to play 20-25, slender, plain, shy.

Performance dates are February 13, 14, 20, 21, 22 (2pm), 27, 28 - Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

PERFORMANCES: January 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, 31 at 8pm, January 25 at 2pm
REHEARSALS: Mondays - Thursdays 7 - 10pm, Sundays 4 - 7pm beginning December 8. There will be breaks over the holidays!

CHARACTERS:
Wes: Main character, (16+ to play younger), funny, sarcastic, bitter at times
Diane: Wes' sister (16+ to play younger), funny, grumpy, sarcastic
Fred: Their father, impatient, moody, secretive (30-50) 
Dorothy: Their mother, sweet but temperamental (30-50)
Anne: Dorothy's sister, kindly, eccentric (30-50) 
Luke: Anne's husband, big-hearted, ornery, with his own secrets (30-50)
Gary: A neighbor boy, innocent, enthusiastic, with a unique speech pattern (16+ to play younger)
Saphronia: A mysterious but benevolent presence (female, any age)

THE PLOT:
Wes, his sister, and their parents travel from California to visit relatives in small-town Nebraska, hoping the trip will repair the broken family dynamic. Wes' uncle and aunt become his surrogate parents as his own parents work out their crumbling relationship. All the while, a ghost attempts to communicate.
